Oreo Gelato
There is no surprise that Oreo gelato made it to the top four! Gelato, for those who aren’t foodies, is the Italian word for ice cream. It differs from regular ice cream in its denseness, its sugar content, and its temperature. All these things help gelato become a flavourful option for those seeking a cool treat! Let’s not forget that Kenton Lobe once referred to Oreos as a heavenly gift. Personally, I feel that says enough about the fantastic flavour of Oreo gelato.
Apple Rhubarb Muffin
Second on the list is the Apple Rhubarb Muffin. There is something special that results from the flavour combination of apple and rhubarb! The Apple Rhubarb Muffin is always served fresh to those of us who appreciate sweet and slightly tart pastries. These muffins will always consist of a light and fluffy texture with a delicious crusty top!
Salted Caramel Latte
Third on the list is the Salted Caramel Latte. This latte is filled with warm and fascinating flavours, including the wondrous mix of salt and caramel. It’s worth getting excited about! For some incomprehensible miracle, one that we should be very thankful for, salt makes sweet things taste infinitely better. If you have tried chocolate salted caramel, you know what I am talking about. Now imagine the caffeinated drink version of it prepared for you by a friendly and familiar face of one of folio’s staff members.
Middle Eastern Grilled Cheese Panini
Becky Longhurst, who might have been the friendly face preparing your salted caramel latte, highlighted a personal favourite that also made it to the list—the Middle Eastern grilled cheese. This exquisite masterpiece is composed of cheddar cheese, labneh, which is a yogurt-based creamy sauce, and Zatar, a blend of spices.
With its innovative and flavourful menu, you’ll be sure to find something new and delicious to try every time you visit folio café!
