“An eye opening experience for me was on Outtatown in Guatemala when we went to stay in a village up in the mountains. The family we stayed with had as poor a living situation as you would find in Central America, with a dirt floor and a thatched roof and a plywood bed. But they gave up their bed for us, and they slept on the dirt floor in the kitchen. They were willing to give up the best that they had, which was a level of hospitality I wasn’t used to.” —Travis Dyck is a 3rd year Business student from Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
